Renovated country farmhouse is energy neutral
Our country farmhouse was built in the 50’s. We renovated this entire section of the house to minimize the ecological footprint and ensuring our bed and breakfast was CO2 neutral and as energy efficient as possible.
The design aims to balance a contempory look and feel with the historical elements that are so characteristic to the house such as the original stained glass windows and floor tiles in the entrance hall. Where possible, we have reused or upcycled original elements such as the oak fireplace mantle and doors. Traditional oak was locally sourced from Oirschot and the surrounding region. Black steel finishes it off for a modern yet comfortable atmosphere.
Dedicated solar panels generate 4000 kW of electricity each year especially for the bed and breakfast. It is a fully electric house with electric heating in the rooms, underfloor heating in the bathrooms, and electric appliances, resulting in an energy A-class accommodation.
Ground floor
Livingroom
All of the living areas are on the ground floor.
The entrance hall leads to the living areas, the stairs to the bedrooms and the downstairs WC. In the hall you will encounter the original tiled floor in addition to the stained glass windows.
To the right, you walk straight into the living room. Equipped with comfortable sofas and a modern Smart TV, the space is meant for relaxation. Grab a novel, a cookbook or some regional magazines and brochures from our shared library for inspiration during your stay.
Prefer to zone out? The large windows overlooking the neighboring fields and our orchard are perfect for daydreaming and watching the the beautiful sunset.
Original stained glass sliding doors separate the living and dining areas.
Dining Room and Kitchen
In the dining room you will find a spacious dining table with 6 chairs where you can enjoy an evening dinner or enjoy your breakfast in the morning. Extend the table even further for a larger group or extra guests. Our pellet stove also provides extra warmth and cosiness during the colder days.
We love cooking, so you can rest assured the kitchen is fully equipped with an induction stove top and a combination oven and microwave to allow you to whip up a quick meal, bake or create an elaborate menu. The pantry already has a selection of seasonings and staples and various small kitchen appliances complete this space. The large built-in fridge-freezer easily stores enough fresh groceries for a group. Don’t worry, there is a dishwasher for easy clean up.
We also offer the possibility to add a breakfast to your reservation. You have the choice between a full service breakfast served in the dining room or that we bring your breakfast items early in the morning so you can prepare them at your own convenient time.
A Nespresso Expert coffee machine makes great cappuccinos, coffee and espresso. Delft blue inspired accessories give the house a nice mix between traditional and modern.
Outdoor Living and Dining
The dining room French doors open up to your own private terrace and enclosed garden so you can enjoy the outdoors all day long.
Enjoy a lunch or afternoon tapas on the outdoor dining table or fire up the wood-burning BBQ.
Subathe on the grass or relax in the covered lounge area. When it gets colder, you simply turn on the pellet stove for extra warmth and instant atmosphere.
Pets are welcome, but not in the bedrooms. At night they must be in a lockable bench.
We do everything we can to make you feel warm, comfortable and at home.
Hottub and Sauna Arrangement
Take pure relaxation up a notch and book the wellness package!
Grab your robes, hammam towels and bath slippers and head to the infrared sauna. Whether to relax, detox or relieve sore muscles, the infrared heat penetrates deep and stimulates oxygen-rich blood flow to help rejuvenate tired muscles.
The woodburning hottub will be filled especially for you and brought to the perfect temperature. Just enjoy

The Ensuite
Our quietest bedroom on the first floor with windows facing south. The morning sun streams in for a bright and warm atmosphere. The windows offer a fantastic view of the interior gardens and terrace.
The Ensuite room has a large and comfortable queen-sized bed with double duvet for a great night’s sleep. The in-room heating can be set to your ideal temperature and the single or double duvet keeps toes warm.
A chest of drawers and hooks with hangers are perfect to put away your weekend wardrobe.
The room has a private ensuite bathroom with rain shower, toilet and vanity to relax, refresh and spoil yourself. Warm up by wrapping in our thick warm bathrobes and slippers.
In addition to WiFi, the television has local programming as well as interactive apps allowing you to login to your own Netflix, Spotify or any other streaming account so you can continue your latest series or listen to your own playlists.
We also offer the possibility to add a breakfast to your reservation. You have the choice between a full service breakfast served in the dining room or that we bring your breakfast items early in the morning so you can prepare them at your own convenient time.

The Master
Our largest bedroom on the first floor with windows facing north and west. The Master room has great views of the orchard and neighboring farm fields. The afternoon sun streams in for a bright and warm atmosphere and the sunsets across the fields are amazing.

An extra bedroom on the first floor with two separate single beds and is an ideal extra bedroom for individual travelers or children. The window face north with views of the neighboring farm fields.

When traveling with your horses, you can leave your trailer on our grounds. In the summer the horses can graze in our field. Our private path leads to the neighboring Soethout Stables and Steenhof Stables as well as numerous equestrian routes.
We do ask you to provide your own food and equipment so that the horses also feel at home.
